What Causes Red Spots On The Hands?

i have tiny bright red spots on my hands that aren't raised, they are in my skin, and don't really hurt but the moment they disappear which can take months they just sppear somewhere else on my hand. I was thinking maybe it has to do with my blood vessels or nerves?
