What Causes Red Spots On The Roof Of The Mouth?

I have 6 red spots on the roof of my mouth, they are bothering me a little bit but not to the point that I cannot eat or drink. They have been present for approx 1 week now and haven't changed in size or colour etc.I don't have any other symptons...any idea what this could be??
