What Causes Red Swollen Lump At The Top Of The Ear?

I was In a car accident on Tuesday of last week. I was seen in the ER on Wednesday I have this lump that has came up in the top of my ear. Very red swollen it has cracked the skin on the back of my ear it is draining yellow stuff the pain is so bad the swelling is around my jaw and going down my neck.
