What Causes Reddish And Itchy Patch On The Buttocks?

Hi i have had a very red area between my bottom cheeks for several years now, i did go to my GP he said it was psoriosis and prescribed cream, this didnt work . The area is very itchy and there is some scabbing but no open sores, the red area is very defined. Thank you
