What Causes Reddish Eye With Soreness And Sharp Pain?

My right eye has felt strange for a couple of weeks, as if there is pressure behind it. I also had little sharp bursts of pain. Now so bloodshot and sore, even when I just blink my eye. The blood vessels look as if they are on the surface of my eye.
