What Causes Redness And Itching In The Implanon Insertion Site?

What causes redness and itching in the Implanon insertion site? I had the impalanon inserted three weeks ago. The insertion site is completely healed but for the last three days it has been itching like crazy and there s a slight redness around the entire length ...Is this normal? From what I know I m not allergic to anything
