What Causes Redness And Itching In The Vulva?

For about 2 weeks now, I have had redness in the vulva area. My vaginal discharge doesn't seem abnormal (smell or consistency). There was a bit of itching, but after taking Diflucan 4 days ago, the slight itching has subsided. However, the redness is still there. What could this be?
