What Causes Redness And Spots On Hands After Exposure To Sun?

I have a question about my skin after I tan. I havn't tanned very much and when I've been out in the sun for the past few days I've gotten a lot of sun and it has made redness show and spots show on my hands. In the past when I have been in the sun I would have redness show up on my neck and chest. It would get darker and itch all the time. It's doing it now too. I went to the tanning bed yesterday and a few hours after I got home my stomach, that I never get tanned started getting a big red circle. The redness has gone away on my neck, hands, and stomach today.
