What Causes Redness And Swelling Under Tongue?

Under my tongue, its raised, red, and swollen. I have a tongue piercing but i dont believe its from this since its not my actual tongue, ive had the piercing for 2 years now, and ive been having over things happening in my mouth the past few weeks. About 2 weeks ago my gums on the inside of my teeth, on the bottom were inflamed and i could barely eat, that eventually went away but now i woke up to something wrong with under my tongue. I also woke up to a cold sore type thing on my bottom lip as well. Any idea what this could be?
