What Causes Redness In Conjunctiva Of Eye When Under Stress?

When I am under stress the inner conjunctiva of my right eye gets red. Drops help a little (Visine, Clear Eyes) No discharge, feels dry and stings..using HypoTears as well. This happened to me 30 years ago
when I was under extreme stress, and is happening again! Please help..Thanks
