What Causes Redness In Eyes Along With Stinging Sensation?

I have been diagnosed with Blepharitis. My eyes burn and sting and are some what red. My eye doctor put some plugs in my lower lid tear ducts. He said I have dry eyes and my oil ducts are clogged. I would like to know of some newer treatments. Thank You, Gloria
