What Causes Redness Inside The Back Of Throat With Spider Vein Blood Vessels?

The inside back of my throat is very red with sort of spider vein blood vessels. a year ago I had surgery for sleep apnea. I do not have a sore throat or cold symptoms. what could be causing this? Does gerd have anything to do with it.
