What Causes Redness On Skin Around Eyes And Cheeks?

Hi there. Just a question concerning my daughter. She has woken up yesterday with some redness under her eyes, high on her cheek bones and her eyes looking slightly puffy. At first I thought she was sunburnt, but Today, under her eyes look alot worse and the red marks look like burns or grazes. To my knowledge there has been no change in face creams, soaps or diet. She says its quite sore to touch. Its not itchy. Can you give me a clue on what it could be? And how we can treat it? Thanks
