What Causes Regular Menstrual Cycle Despite Taking Trisprintec?

I have migraines during my menstrual so my Dr. Prescribed a higher dosage in birth control. Now i am taking trisprintec 0.250mg to stop my periods. I still got my period for this month. Was i supposed to continue into a new package without taking the white pills in the last row?
