What Causes Right-sided Lower Abdominal Pain?

I have had a right lower side burning pain for about 4 months It comes and gos. At my physical 3 months ago my blood tests were normal and my wit was good. My stools are about normal and I am do for a 5 yr colonoscopy. The last time I had 1 benign pollop and a diverticula I'm thinking the pain maybe coming from diverticula. I am out of town for next 3 months and won't be able to see my regular doctors
