What Causes Right-sided Soreness In Neck While Drinking?

On nye I drank quite a lot and recently I've noticed that every time I drink more than a couple of drinks I start to get a soreness in the right side of the neck. It starts from the base of my jaw and goes down almost to my collarbone. Its been two days since I last drank and it still hurts quite a bit
