What Causes Rough Nails And Straight Black Lines On Thumb?

Hi,i have recently diagnosed that my blood sugar levels r slightly high and hba1c is7.3. Not taking any medication. my hand finger nails r rough and there is black straight black line on the left thumb nail and onthe right one has got broad light black line. could u say some thing about this condition
