What Causes Roughness On Back Of Throat Along With Difficulty Swallowing?

Hello, The last 2 days, the back of my mouth and upper throat feel real rough. Like sandpaper. I looked in the mirror with a flash light and it looks like red and some parts are white or greyish. Food doesn t taste well. I have zero pain. Just feels awful and little hard to swallow. I appreciate your opinion. Should I go to DR?
