What Causes Scaly Bumps On The Palms?

After showering I get these white scaley looking, dry bumps on the palms of my hands but after a few minutes they go away and are barely noticeable. They don t hurt but I m wondering what it is. This has been going on for a while and it seems on my left hand they have spread a little.
