What Causes Scaly Pink Patches Along The Hairline?

okay so im 14, and sadly, i have to patches of scaly pink skin where some of my hair is supposed to be ( in the front line of my hair, directly above my eyes ) i heard rubbin garlic in that area works, but im not sure because it is starting to spread and the round patches are getting bigger.
