What Causes Scanty Menstrual Bleeding?

Hi I am due on my period and have had a few drops of blood over the last 5 days but no period. It has now stopped. This is very unusual for me as i usually flood after the first day. I am not on any contraceptive and we are unable to have children because my husband has testicular shut down so im not pregnant either. Any ideas
