What Causes Seeing Of Flashes In Vision And Buzzing Sounds In Ear?

Ok, so I have this problem that sometimes when I am trying to fall asleep I hear a small buzzing sound. At the same time there is a flash in front of my eyes. Everything is black when it flashes and it is like a bright light that only lasts for a split second.
