What Causes Seizures Along With Numbness In Hands?

My friends father (over 65) had an episode when traveling 10 days ago. I don t know much more than he had a seizure and has symptoms of heartburn, numbness in hands and generally looking poorly. Numbness I think one hand - He was resting on plane - started a deep hard cough... wife saw he wasn t responding. drooling out of mouth. emt on plane - checked negative for stroke, BP was good. Not sugar b/c they had eaten. Anyway, they are choosing to wait a few weeks when they return to NJ (they live part time in CO and are here currently) to have him checked out. Do you think they should see someone now?
