What Causes Sensation Of Odd Smell And Black Spot In Nose?

I have been smelling smoke off and on for a few days. Before that, I was smelling other strange odors. I have completed a Z pack b/c my MD thought it might be a sinus infection. I also have a small black spot on the inside of my nose in the middle.
