What Causes Sensing Of Metallic Smell Followed By Panic Attacks?

I ve been experiencing small episodes where a get a distinct metallic/copper smell, followed by a very short bout of what feels like adrenaline. It comes and goes, but the last three days it s been pretty frequent. My thoughts race and I get a sense of panic for about 10 seconds each time. Any idea what this could mean?
