What Causes Sensitivity To Taste And Smell?

I have been experiencing a strange taste and smell. Many things taste bad to me now, and some smell bad. The things that smell bad smell the same as the ones that taste bad. It s not everything, but enough that I really notice it. It s very hard to describe, but the closest I can come is that I taste/smell dirty perfume. The things that taste bad are soda, particularly Coke, Tums, sorbet, some fruit and other random items. What smells bad to me is usually hygiene products like shampoo, soap, deodorant and of course perfume. This started about seven months ago. I did have some allergies around the same time, but they cleared up normally with the first frost.
