What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain Post D&E Inspite Of Taking Doxycycline Hyclate?

Hello,I had a D&E on 2.20.15. After the surgery I had no pain and no bleeding. Yesterday I started getting pains in my upper abdomen and lower abdomen. The lower pain feels like I am ovulating or getting my period, the upper pain feels like gas. I am worried about infection, although I was prescribed doxycycline hyclate after the surgery in which I took 2 tablets the night of. I also have a history of optometrists. Thank you for your help.
