What Causes Severe Cold,cough And Stomach Pain?

I am 75 years old and had a horrible cold with the worst cough I've ever had-violent coughing. I now have pain on my right side of my stomach with sever bruising on my left, below my belly button and down.It is difficult to cough, walk and go to the bathroom; what could this possibly be from?
