What Causes Severe Cough Along With Fever?

Have a cough that when I breath I rattle then cough up very little or nothing but it cause inconternance I have a high temp been to doctor have antibiotics and vent ilium puffer nothing is getting better cannot sleep it's been 24 hours since I've started taking meds
