What Causes Severe Cough Along With Vomiting Up Of Yellow Mucus?

Hi, I have a terrible deep cough that burns like fire and hurts. I m bringing up greenish yellow mucous. My nose is congested and my whole body aches. I believe I m beginning to get the chills too. Hubby says chest sounds clear and it sounds like the irritation is coming from the throat...which is very swollen.
