What Causes Severe Cough And Dizziness After Having Food?

Excessive coughing normally after i have a meal or snack.The coughing fit can be extreme,literally making me dizzy. I've had this now for 9 months. it has gotten slightly better in the last 5 month but hasn't slowed down anymore.I do smoke, but i have been smoking for 30 years and have never had this type of coughing before, i have also had pneumonia where i was hospitalized for 5 days and still didn't cough this bad.
