What Causes Severe Cough In A Diabetic?

hello doctor I have a question regarding about my mom actually she is a diabetic patient and having bad cough since 4 months she has been treated as asthma patient and she took so many medicines already but no help yet she is getting weak & weak day by day please advice !!
