What Causes Severe Hair Loss?

hello, my hair has been getting thinner and thinner every year , i have been on ginette 84 for about 10 years now , could this be the reason my hair is thinning , also i wan to come off it , will this mean my hair will start to thicken up now or will it continue thinning ?;-)
