What Causes Severe Headache And Presence Of Lump In Temple Region?

Hi - I have been getting headaches very often for as long as I can remember, and some of the times (most, actually) there is a throbbing on the sides of my head, near the temple area. When I rub on it, it feels like there's a knot in it. Any answers as to what this may be and what could help stop the headaches? thank you!
