What Causes Severe Itching And Swelling Of Vagina After Having Intercourse?

I am 42 and had a partial hysterectomy 2 yrs ago. I separated from my husband and started dating someone new. After sex with my new partner I have severe itching (internal)and swelling. There is no smell to indicate an infection or discharge. What could be causing this? I was dx in 1993 with genital warts but nothing similar since then. Is this an affect from the hysterectomy or new partner? My ob/gym has retired and I don t have anyone I trust to evaluate the symptoms. Any help appreciated.
