What Causes Severe Itching In Ears?

I know that I have a skin problem inside my ear and that it is cleansed to soften that skin when I use a nozzle and vinegar and alcohol to keep the wax out, as I have small ear canals. My ear stopped up and I used the above as well as an ear wax removal, The problem is that my ear is itching on the inside like crazy I have been using a toothpick for relief and this works. I plan to visit my doctor this week, Where is the itching coming from?
