What Causes Severe Itching In Scalp With Hair Loss?

Hi,
I wonder if anyone has an explanation for me. For the last 2 weeks I've been suffering of a really itchy scalp and increased hair loss. Whenever I brush my hair, the brush is full with hair.
Maybe it has something to do with my really bad constipation I had last week, which was caused from dehydration (I exercised&sweated lots on holiday the week before and didn't drink enough water).
Is there anything I can take or do to relief the itchiness&hair loss??
