What Causes Severe Itching On Full Body?

I have severe full-body itching. It only occurs during the summer, which is when I spend a lot of time in pools, lakes, and the sun. Sunscreen seems to worsen my skin, which is also very dry. The itching is intense, and leaves my skin stinging all over.
