What Causes Severe Leg Pain And Cracking Sound Coming From Hip Bone?

I have outer hip and upper leg pain. Does not feel like muscle pain, feels like bone. I can feel clicking in my hip when I walk. I can t lay on that side and after about 15 minutes of laying on my other side the hip and leg pain get unbearable and I have to lay on my back. I can t sit for more than 30 minutes or it starts to hurt. When washing my feet in the shower my hip catches . What might this be?
