What Causes Severe Midday Sinus Pain Above My Eyes?

in late june i believed to have had a sinus infection,extreme sinus pain and pressure and green mucus,after going to my m.d i was prescribed antibiotics,they took away the green mucus and lowered the pain drastically,now 3 months later i still have slight pain to the touch over my eye i nthe sinus area and during midday hours the pain is at its worst and in the evenings it subsides..no green mucus right now..is it a virus..allergy or is there actually something in my sinus causing this???????
