What Causes Severe Nausea After Chemotherapy?

My husband just finished his last rounds of chemo/radiation on 9 march. Since then and even weeks before then he has had severe nausea. He is currently in the hospital and is being given nausea med after med but nothing seems to help. His cancer was esophageal gastric junction. He has a j-tube
