What Causes Severe Neck Pain Along With Throbbing Sensation In Temporal Region?

Severe neck pain with throbbing left temporal pain. 50 yrs. old with history of invasive breast cancer 6 yrs ago. Not feeling well at all. Dr. prescribed prednisone taper today. Neck pain is due to arthritis, tried injections with no relief. Do you have any other suggestions?
