What Causes Severe Pain After Mole Removal Surgery?

On Friday I had a mole removal at my local doctors surgery. The mole was located on the crease of my neck. It was removed and I've got non-disolvable stitches which are to be removed in 5 days. The pain is so severe that I cant sleep, can hardly move, paracetamol which I was told to take has had no effect so have been taking 2 codine & paracetamol 4 times a day that isn't working either..I don't know what do? I will try and see my doctor tomorrow but for now I need some advice as the pain is driving me nuts..(I've previously had 7 stitches in my hand and the pain was nothing like this). Plus since the local anasthetic wore off on Friday my throat feels swollen, it looks fine, just feels tight.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer me.
