What Causes Severe Pain And Cramps During Menstruation After A Hysteroscopy?

My daughter (29 yrs) had a Hysteroscopy procedure mid-Nov. to remove a fibroid. First period afterwards - a breeze. Second period started yesterday - she calls me crying in pain - very painful cramps, heavy but normal 1st-2nd day flow. She s losing her mind thinking fibroid is back and even more concerning - what was the point of surgery to begin with if pain is the same as pre-op? She is desperately tryign to conceive!
