What Causes Severe Pain During Breast Feeding?

Hello sir. This is Rajat from Bangalore. My wife gave birth to a healthy girl on February 19, 2010. After birth, she passed motion on the second and third days of her life, but since then she has not passed any motion but has been passing urine regularly. She only passes a bit of gas from time to time but no stool and she cries a lot too during breast feeding. My wife has been feeding her approximately every 2 hours daily. She weighed 3.2 kg at birth and was born via C-section. Please tell me if there is any reason for concern as we are quite worried.
