What Causes Severe Pain In Arm And Shoulder Along With Dizziness?

I believe I had some heart attack symptoms today while I was getting my car repaired. My right arm and shoulder left very painful, almost unbearable. It made me feel dizzy and I felt like puking. I felt panicked and prayed I wasn't going to have some heart attack there. the pain lasted about five minutes, I walked outside and decided I might be fine. Could I have had a heart attack? I'm 55yrs old and a smoker.
