What Causes Severe Pain In Chest Along With Insomnia Post Fracture In Ribs?

my husband broke and fractured a rib 4 months ago and is still having a lot of pain and feels movement he is breathing fine unfortunately he does home repairs and everything he does aggrivates it doctors say nothing you can do but i am wondering if there is something he should wear when working sleeping isn't going well for him he was back to the doctor about 2 months ago no X-rays at that time only 2 weeks after fall any advice for him he stopped pain medicine a month ago and not looking to return to meds
