What Causes Severe Pain In Ribcage Along With Intestinal Spasms?

I have a bubble like pain in my left shoulder blade. I think it is probably just muscular, but yesterday I was at urgent care for severe pain under my left breast in my rib area. They said it was intestinal spasms, but now I am just worried that the two are connected.
