What Causes Severe Pain In Ribs Along With High Body Temperature?

I have hurt my ribs. I have been to see the doctor. He gave me strong pain killers. They made me feel ill,I have reverted back to paracetamol . I have not stopped work and feeling better,although I seem to have an infection and a bad cough. High temperature last night,and I can here my ribs clicking. My injury happened last Thursday I was in total agony Sat Sun and Monday .
