What Causes Severe Pain In Sternum And Black Tongue?

I am having a lot of pain around bottom of my sternum. Have had severe erosion issues in past. Lately I have horrible taste in mouth no matter how much I clean my mouth. Today I was in a lot of pain and when I woke up I had horrible taste in mouth and my tongue was black! Any idea what could be going on?
